Edwin Elsner Jr

A memorial service celebrating the life of Edwin Carl Elsner, Jr., 84, of Keene, Texas will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Chapel with Pastor Benjie Leach officiate.
The family will receive visitors from 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Carl went to sleep in the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 in Keene. He was born in Glendale, Calif. the son of Hazel Viola (Goodrich) and Edwin Carl Elsner.
Carl was a veteran, having proudly served his country in the United States Army and Navy. He married Rita Wetmore on April 11, 1955 in Tacoma Park, Mass. Carl was employed in the medical field and was an LVN and an X-ray technician. He was a member of the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Stephen Elsner.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita Elsner of Keene; sons, Edwin Carl Elsner, III and wife, Shellane, of California and Robert Joshua Elsner and wife, Jennifer, of Ohio; daughters, Kathleen Gowing and husband, Clifford, of Nevada and Tami Perez and husband, Rene, of Keene; and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church of your choice.
