A graveside service for Emma Nell “Sue” Nickell, 91, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Cleburne Memorial Cemetery with the Reverend John Glover officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, June 6, 2022 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Emma Nell “Sue” Nickell passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 in Fort Worth. She was born November 15, 1930 in Cleburne to Della Mae (Wade) and Jesse Floyd Easdon. She was a life-long resident of Cleburne, direct descendent of the first settlers of Johnson County. Sue graduated from Cleburne High and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church for more than 70 years. 

Sue was a loving mother, a devoted wife and a good friend to those who knew her. She loved to play bridge and spend time with family and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, Hubert Nickell; and two brothers.

Survivors include her sons, Wade Nickell of Cleburne and Clint Nickell and wife, Janice of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Haley Bruce and husband Brandon of Glen Rose and Reece Nickell and fiancé, Reagan Maples of Panhandle; great grandchildren, Rendon and Haddie Bruce, both of Glen Rose; and a host of other relatives and friends.
