Frank Menchaca, born on April 2, 1947, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025. He was a beloved figure, cherished for his charm, charisma, and larger-than-life personality. Frank's love for his siblings, friends, and family knew no bounds; he was a simple, complex man who touched the hearts of many.
Frank dedicated four years of his life serving his country in the Vietnam War through the Navy. With a willingness to give the shirt off his back, he embodied generosity and made every encounter feel like an adventure. His infectious laughter and charm could light up any room, drawing people in and making them believe they could achieve anything. He was the life of the party, always at the center of attention, and his warmth was felt by all fortunate enough to know him.
In addition to his love for family and friends, Frank had a special fondness for dogs, finding joy and companionship in their presence. He loved deeply and freely, creating cherished memories with those in his life. While he was not without his mistakes, his love for his children and the women he held dear remained steadfast. To have known Frank was to be blessed with a unique spirit who made the world a brighter place. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramona and Leonard Menchaca; son, David Frank Menchaca; and brothers, Jesse George Menchaca, Raymond Menchaca, Christopher Menchaca and Ricardo Menchaca.
He is survived by his loving family and many friends including his sons, Christopher Bickel and wife Jennifer of Edmond, Oklahoma and Matthew Menchaca of Joshua; daughters, Angela Alkilani and husband Mohamed of Arlington and Leticia Menchaca of North Richland Hills; brothers, Peter Menchaca and wife Dora of Fort Worth, Nicholas Menchaca and wife Kathy of Grandview and Thomas Menchaca of Fort Worth; sisters, Inez Menchaca of Fort Worth, Marcella Menchaca of St. Paul, Minnesota, Mary R.
