Obituary for Joel Lawrence Franklin
A memorial service celebrating the life of Joel Lawrence Franklin, 68, of Cleburne, Texas, will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at American Legion Post #50 in Cleburne.
Mr. Franklin passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at his home. He was born in Kermit, Texas on October 18, 1945, the son of Mary and Cubley Franklin.
Joel served his country in the United States Navy and was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
He was an active member of American Legion Post #50, volunteering his service for over 20 years.
Joel was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kay Franklin.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie Hume of Cleburne and Diana Crutchfield and husband, Larry, of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, Kevin Thomas, Kayla Hume, Brenden, Corran, Daphne and Ainsley Crutchfield; and niece, Rhonda Morris.
