Memorial services for Leslie Carl Fromm, 83, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1905 Conveyor Drive, Joshua, Texas 76058.
Leslie Carl passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at his home. He was born in California on August 21, 1934 to Carl and Frances Fromm. After growing up in central California, service in the US Army took him to San Francisco, California; San Antonio, Texas; and then Fort Lewis in Washington. After being discharged in 1959, he returned to central California and worked as a claims adjuster with various insurance companies.
Leslie married Alvina Jean Beglau in June of 1957. They were blessed with four children: Robert Lynn, Alice Joy, Gary Alan and Sherri Ann.
Leslie was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, participating in the youth Pathfinder program for many years and serving as the sound technician for the Ceres, California Adventist Church for over 40 years.
He moved to Cleburne, Texas in 2004, marrying Barbara Ann McKay in July of 2005. In the following years, he was active in civic activities for Keene, Texas.
One of his hobbies was making and flying model airplanes. At nine years old, he built his first model airplane and flew it on a tether. During his years in Cleburne, Leslie was a member of the Whitney Association of Model airplanes Club. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and sharing the pleasures of the outdoors with his family.
Leslie was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Frances and his son, Robert. He leaves behind his wife, three children, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Joshua Adventist Multi-Grade School, 1912 Conveyor Drive, Joshua, TX 76058 or to the charity of your choice.
