Gale Neff

Gale Norman Neff, 88, of Cleburne, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-6:30 P.M., Thursday, December 26, at Rosser Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery.

Gale was born on August 9, 1936 in Cleburne to Jesse Mack and Emma Louise (Huffman) Neff. He was raised in Cleburne on a peanut farm and went to school at Liberty Chapel and CHS, graduating in 1954.

The careers he endeavored were a teacher at CHS, and engineer at General Dynamics, and a firefighter, then retiring as Vice Chancellor for Tarrant County Jr. College. Gale enjoyed cars, motorcycles, dune buggies, traveling to Colorado, and spending time with his family and friends. Gale was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Katherine Newby, Evelyn Henslee and Annita Neff; and two nephews, Phillip Henslee and Keith Newby.

Survivors include his nephews, Joel Henslee and wife Paige of Cleburne and Jason Newby and wife Jessica of Billings, Montana; great nephews and nieces, Austin Henslee and wife Destini of Cleburne, Dara, Daina and husband Micah, Alexandria and husband Jaden, Jackson, Samantha and husband Luke, Jared, Joshua, Jonah, Jacob and Lauren, all of Montana; many other relatives and close friends.
