Ronald “Ron” Stewart Gavitt
A memorial service celebrating the life of Ronald “Ron” Stewart Gavitt, 67, of Godley, Texas will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 9001 CR 1019, Burleson, Texas.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
A private burial will be held in Godley Cemetery.
Mr. Gavitt passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born in Charleston, SC on December 12, 1944, the son of Alice (La Crosse) and Warren Atmore Gavitt.
Ron served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War and worked for Morrison Supply Company in Granbury. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and most important, a child of God. He is rejoicing with his heavenly Father.
He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Gail Gavitt in 1994.
Ron Gavitt is survived by his wife, Jean Gavitt of Godley; mother, Alice Gavitt of New Hampshire; sons, Jeff Gavitt of Oklahoma and Bruce Gavitt and wife, Holly, of Cleburne; brother, David Gavitt; sisters, Dottie Hilliard, Joy Rose and husband, Bill and Brenda Taylor and husband, Ben; six grandchildren.
