Gene Powell

Gene Powell, 89, of Cleburne, Texas passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at his home in Cleburne. Gene was born on July 21, 1934 in Alvarado, Texas to Martha (Bryant) and Tom Powell. He married his sweetheart, Margaret Howeth on November 26, 1952 in Cleburne.

Mr. Powell was retired from Lone Star Gas Co. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Margaret.

Survivors include his daughters, Gena Sanderson and husband, Dwayne of Glen Rose and Melaine Pruitt and husband, Mitch of Carrollton; grandson, Brennan Sanderson and wife, Courtney of San Antonio; granddaughters, Brittan Allen and husband, Colton of Glen Rose, and Brooklynn Pruitt of Waco; great grandchildren, Kylee Allen, Ford Sanderson, and Dirk Sanderson; sister, Billie Key of Cleburne; brother, Troy Powell and wife, Mary of Walnut Springs; sister-in-law, Glenda Self and husband, Bobby of Cleburne; and many other extended family and friends.
