Georgia Anderson

Georgia Anderson, age 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in San Antonio, TX.   Georgia was surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as she entered heaven. 

Georgia was born on December 7, 1925 in Johnson County, TX to George and Martha Reeves.  Georgia was the second youngest of 14 brothers and sisters.   She will be the last of the 14 siblings to enter heaven. 

Georgia married Virgil Anderson on January 6, 1945.   Together they raised one son, Larry Anderson in Cleburne, TX.  Georgia was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following Larry throughout his athletic career.   She loved her Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and the Texas Rangers.   Georgia loved spending time with her numerous nieces and nephews around the Cleburne area.  Georgia also loved to dance and on most Friday nights you could find her at the senior citizens dance hall.

Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha Reeves; her husband, Virgil Anderson; her son, Larry Anderson; and her 13 siblings: Claudie, Maudie, Nanny, Mary Etta, J.D., Faye, Vivian, A.J., Carl Travis, Geraldine, Dick, Lydell, and Josephine.   

Georgia is survived by her daughter in law Dusty Anderson; grandchildren, Polly Pepper, Kenzie, Kallee, and Guy Anderson, Tiffany Anderson; and great grandchildren, Mallory Nelson, Reese Anderson, Ryleigh Anderson, Jaci Anderson, and Kenneth Moore. 

Family, friends, and others whose lives Georgia touched are invited to Rosehill Cemetery, 1105 Island Grove Rd, Cleburne, TX 76031 on Saturday, February 25, at 11am to celebrate Georgia’s life.
