Services for Linda Irene Gibson, 72, of Burleson, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at the Burleson Church of Christ. Burial will follow in DFW National Cemetery. Karl Jones will officiate. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Linda passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 in Burleson, Texas. She was born Nov. 5, 1941 in San Luis Obispo, California. Linda married Jim Gibson on Sept. 5, 1957 in Ramona, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of the Burleson Church of Christ.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Grace Givens; sister, Dorothy Wecker; and brother, Buck Chitwood.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Gibson, of Burleson; sons, Jimmy Gibson and wife, Lorie, of Burleson, Danny Gibson and wife, Hope, of North Augusta, South Carolina; grandchildren, Zachary and wife, Ana, Jenna, Jeremy, Jamie, Gabriel, Joey, and Jubal; brother, John Chitwood and wife, Wanda, of Cuba, Missouri; sisters, Margaret Pappin of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Paula Shelow and husband, Tommy, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Carolyn Long and husband Gary, of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; and numerous other relatives and friends.
