Obituary for Hazel Gilstrap (Ditsworth)

Funeral services for Hazel (Ditsworth) Gilstrap, 84, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at Nolan River Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Adam Mathews and the Rev. Larry York officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Keith, Ethan Marin, Eric Nolasco, Robert Gilstrap, Andrew Gilstrap and Dale Ditsworth.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Hazel Gilstrap passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her home. She was born in Lucedale, Mississippi on December 18, 1933, the daughter of Della Faye (Rouse) and Wayne John Ditsworth.
Hazel married R. Edward “Eddie” Gilstrap on June 20, 1959 in Pascagoula, Mississippi. She was a retired teacher and was a member of Nolan River Road Baptist Church.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Gilstrap of Cleburne; sons, Robert E. “Bobby”
Gilstrap, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Conyers, Georgia and Thomas W. “Tommy” Gilstrap and wife, Karen, Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth Keith of Cleburne; brothers, Grady Ditsworth and wife, Nancy of Ocala, Florida and David Ditsworth and wife, Annie, of Pascagoula; sister, Mary Alice Ditsworth of Mobile, Alabama; five half brothers and sisters; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nolan River Road Baptist Church Mission Fund, 820 N. Nolan River Road, Cleburne, TX 76033 or Community Hospice of Texas, 1208 W Henderson St # B, Cleburne, TX 76033.
