Glenna Roof

Funeral services for Glenna Faye Roof, 87, long time Cleburne resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roof passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in Mansfield, Texas. She was born in Palo Pinto County, Texas on November 7, 1936, the daughter of Frances Ruth (Haney) and Archie Lowell Holder.

Glenna and Nick Roof, Jr. were married on August 3, 1956 in Cleburne, Texas. She worked as bookkeeper for the family business, Roof Drug. At the age of 59, Glenna received her nursing license from Hill Jr. College. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was the pianist and organist at North Cleburne Baptist Church for many years.

Glenna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Nickolas "Nick" Roof, Jr.; and son-in-law, Stanley Alan Brown.

She is survived by her son, John Lowell Roof of Godley, Texas; daughter, Lisa DeAnne Brown of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Stacey DeAnne Francis, Rebecca Ruth Smith, Teresa Frances Emeott, Nicholas Lowell Roof, Gregory Nicholas Brown, and Reese Alan Brown; sister, Lanell Schilling of Anchorage, Alaska; niece, Cheri Roof Griffin of Grandview, Texas; nephew, Glen Roof, Jr.; and many other family members and friends.
