Keene, TX—A memorial service for Dr. Elias G. Gomez, 79, of Keene, Texas will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Chapel.
Dr. Gomez passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 in Keene and was born in Harlingen, Texas on Sept. 23, 1934, the son of Narcisa (Galvan) and Gregorio Gomez.
Dr. Gomez married Marcia McPherson on Sept. 15, 1957 in Harlingen.
He was an Adventist minister and was a member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. Dr. Gomez was also a professor at Southwestern Adventist University.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia M. Gomez of Keene; daughters, Rose-Yvonne Colletta of Austin, Texas and Suzani McPherson of Spain; and his dogs, Sasha and Marly.
