Funeral services for Maria Gonzalez, 84, of Keene, Texas will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Osvaldo Rigacci, Pastor Jair Pinilla and Pastor Mark Valadez officiating. A second service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at Keene Memorial Park Chapel preceded by burial in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Gonzalez passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Marti, Matanzas, Cuba on Sept. 16, 1930 to Evangelina (Sanchez) and Ramon Gonzalez.
Mrs. Gonzalez was a member of the Keene Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jose Lopez; and sister, Hayde Gonzalez.
Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her daughters, Elsa Canizares and husband, Daniel, of Cleburne, Texas and Mary Hernandez and husband, Freddy, of Keene, Texas; brother, Ramon Gonzalez and wife, Estrella, of Rochester, New York; sisters, Eva Masdeu and husband, Esteban, of Orlando, Florida, Olga Prado and husband, Carlos, Piedad Odicio and husband, Victor, and Sonia Chavez and husband, Ennis, all of Riverside, California; grandchildren, Adiel Canizares, Leslie Soupet, Idelsa Murillo, Elsibeth Rosado and Lizzie Velez; great grandchildren, Betty A. Canizares, Denny A. Rosado, Keilah Murillo and Kelsy Murillo; and a host of other relatives and friends.
