Phillip Harding "Phil" Gray
Phillip Harding Gray, 67, of Joshua, Texas entered into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday August 19, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville.
Phil was a multi talented entrepreneur known for his amazing cooking and sharp sense of humor. He graduated from L.D. Bell high school in 1967. After graduation he was the drummer and handled vocals for The Mankind and The Jaguars, playing gigs all over DFW but most notably at Stuart Anderson’s on Copeland Road in Arlington.
Soon after leaving the music world Phil became a golf professional. He would go on to teach and inspire hundreds with his sensitive understanding of the finer points of the game and his monster drives. Always on top of his golf and humor game, playing a round with Phil was like being in the movie Caddyshack.
Phil was also a mortgage, real estate and finance professional, starting several businesses with family and acquaintances while helping hundreds of people get into new homes.
Phil is survived by his mother, Gladys Gray of Joshua; sister, Cindy Ernest and husband, Carey, of Burleson, TX; step-sister, Rosanne Nabors of Cleburne, TX; sons, Shaun and wife, Jessica, of Mansfield, TX and Chase and wife, Edith, of San Francisco, CA; daughter, Blake and husband, Brian, of Nashville, TN, three grandchildren; three nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
