Obituary for
Alton James Hardaway
Military graveside service for Alton James Hardaway, 67, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11:15 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Bethel Saulter AME Church in Cleburne.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Mr. Hardaway passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at his home. He was born in Homer, Louisiana on December 30, 1949, the son of Nellie B. (Hampton) and Ulish Hardaway.
Mr. Hardaway proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War during which he was awarded three Bronze Stars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Ella Hardaway.
Mr. Hardaway is survived by his sons, Tiwian Hardaway and wife, Laurie, of Crowley, Texas and Jeron Hardaway and wife, Hallie, of Cleburne; daughter, Lynmesha Pointer and husband, Reggie, of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Barry Hampton and wife, Margaret, of Burleson, Texas; and grandchildren, Kalem, Layne, London, Brady, Tazaria, Robert, Desmond, Anaya, Ieisha and Marquise.
