Peter Harty

Peter Bennett Harty, 72, of Cleburne, Texas, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017.
He was born on April 9, 1945 in Austin, Texas.
Peter graduated from Roosevelt High School in Acuff, Texas in 1963.
After attending West Texas State, he transferred to Trinity University, graduating in 1967.
Peter taught Junior High School in San Antonio in 1968, before
joining the National Guard and serving his country until 1976.
His career included time at Pier I Imports and Artisan Imports before going
into business for himself at Accent Wholesale in 1981.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kim and Jenny Harty; and brother, Pat.
Peter is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betsy; daughter, Ellie; son, Ben and his wife, Yvette; and grandchildren, Samantha and Michael. He is also survived by his sister, Mary and two brothers, Mike and Bill.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the United Presbyterian Church in Cleburne. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
