Services for Lupe Herrera, 59, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home. The Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. during visitation.
Lupe passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born April 14, 1952 in Grandview, Texas to Pedro Chavez and Mary Bason Chavez. Lupe married Ruben Herrera on Oct. 27, 1986 in Cleburne, Texas. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Lupe was a very caring and loving mother to her children and all their friends.
Lupe was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Simon Chavez.
She is survived by her husband, Ruben Herrera of Cleburne; daughters, Elaine Chavez and Ted Gonzalez of Cleburne, Jannet Herrera and Omar Amaya of Cleburne, Lizzy Herrera of Cleburne; grandson, Julian Gabriel Amaya of Cleburne; brothers, Manuel Chavez, John Chavez and wife Teresa of Cleburne, Mike Chavez and wife Gloria of Grandview, Roy Chavez and wife Marivel of Cleburne; sisters, Maria Chavez and Margaret Chavez both of Cleburne; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
