Graveside services for Vera Mae Holder, 97, of Granbury, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Vera passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at her home. She was born in Dallas, Texas on July 16, 1923, the daughter of Pearl (Branch) and Roy Lee Evans.
Vera was a model for 28 years before becoming a travel director for Wells Fargo. She married her husband, Leslie “Diddy” Holder on June 8, 1945, in Dallas. He preceded her in death in 2003 and she was also preceded by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
Vera is survived by her sister, Myra Robinson, of Granbury; brothers, John Evans and wife, Betty, of Shreveport, Louisiana and Duane Evans of Washington, D.C.; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
