Dale Ernest Hudson

Graveside services for Dale Ernest Hudson, 78, of Covington, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 in the Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery in Burkburnett, Texas. Pastor Hal Ingram will officiate.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas.
Dale E. Hudson was born December 7, 1942 in Morenci, Arizona to Clem & Evelyn Hudson. He graduated Bowie High School in 1960. He married his lifelong sweetheart, Sue Gorham Hudson, on January 18, 1964. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of Texas at Arlington & began a career in accounting. He had two adoring children, Amy Hudson Smith (husband Loyd) & Dale Hudson, Jr. (wife Sara) From there his love continued to grandchildren: Loyd Smith (wife Heather), Cody Ray, Marty Ray (wife Amanda), Dylan Hudson (Chelsea), Sara Smith Villarreal (husband Jesse), Casey Smith, Chayse Smith, & Zach Smith. Once again, his love grew to a new generation – great grandchildren: Casyn, Cagyn, Chaselynn, Brady, Antrim, Easton, Charlee, Riley, Colton, Layson, & Landri. Besides his family, Dale’s loves were hunting, traveling as much of the US as possible with Sue, & attending every ball game ever played by his grandchildren & great grandchildren. He lived the fullest & best life possible. On January 6, 2021 he went to the home built so lovingly for him by his Lord & Savior to find the best quail coveys while he awaits his true love joining him in heaven. He was preceded in death by parents, brothers (Roy, Gene & Jack), & long-time family friend Reggie Phillips. A hole was left in the lives he left on earth, but we rejoice in the eternal life he now enjoys.
