Obituary for Irene Bell Huff (Chandler)
After a prolonged battle with lung cancer, Irene Bell Huff, 66, of Joshua, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 in Joshua. She leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, John Huff; son, John Huff; and daughters, Stephanie Huff Perez and Deborah Warren.
Irene wished to be cremated. Her memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Burleson, Texas.
Irene was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 24, 1950, to Ruth and Willis Chandler. She grew up in a large family with three sisters and four brothers.
Irene’s days were filled being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. When Irene was diagnosed with lung cancer, she remained a brave iron-willed woman throughout her final days.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Irene is survived her husband; children; sister, Patricia Stockman; brothers, Hiram and Edward Chandler; god daughter, Arleth Fraga; foster daughter, Katherine Salih; granddaughters, Julia, Rachel and Emily; grandsons, Joshua, Richard, Anthony, John, Alexander, Ruben and Ethan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Harbor Hospice and Plaza Medical City for their wonderful care and excellent work.
