Jerry Tate was born March 4 th 1952 and passed away February 12 th 2025, at the age of 72 to go to be home with the Lord Jesus. He was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, raised in Cedar Hill Texas and passed away in his home in Alvarado where he has resided for most of his adult life.

Jerry loved his family deeply, was a loyal friend, and had a soft heart for all living things. He battled health issues for several years but has found relief from these. Jerry loved to greet everyone at his local Church, Texas House of Prayer International. Jerry instilled a strong work ethic in his children and the importance of family. One of Jerry's favorite proverbs was "Better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Lee Tate, mother Fay Tate (Atkins), and beloved best friend, confident, and wife Debra Tate. Jerry leaves behind one brother Mike Baltus (wife- Jean Baltus), four children, Jason Tate (wife-Kaiti Tate), James Tate (wife- Cristal Tate), Jesse Tate (fiancé- Katelyn Scott), and Jacinda Thompson (husband-Andrew Thompson) as well as eighteen grandchildren, Mackenzie Tate, Abigail Tate, William Tate, Emily Tate, Ethan Tate, Jude Tate, Logan Tate, Jane Tate, Kaleb Tate, Jaden Tate, Trevor Tate, Isaiah Tate, Madelyn Tate, Josiah Tate, Jaxon Tate, Lainey Thompson, Addie Thompson, Harper Thompson and one soon to be great grandchild.

Jerry will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Jerry did not wish for any service to be held.
