Johnny Swallow

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Johnny H. Swallow from 1 - 3 p.m. (come and go) on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Diana Jones Memorial Training Center, Cresson Volunteer Fire Department, 105 S. Crook, Cresson, Texas, 76035.

Johnny Swallow, 75, of Joshua, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at his home. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 3, 1948, the son of Lila Faye (Hindman) and Billy Robert Swallow.

Johnny married Linda Dane Hembd on March 29, 2003, in Gilbert, Arizona. Johnny was a strong and loving man. Always a smile on his face, for his family and friends. A True Texan, he loved his family, friends, and the Great State of Texas! Johnny was a proud Fort Worth man. He and Linda developed J&L Pest Control Services and grew the company with many customers that became part of their family. Johnny always had time to speak with everyone, telling stories including a variety of old Texas sayings he always shared, whether working or on the golf course. Johnny loved his 2019 hot rod Mustang but he loved his children, his grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as his beloved dogs like no other. He will be truly missed by all.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Linda; sisters, Debbie McGibbons and Liz Haywood; daughters, Carrie Bell and husband, Greg, Carol Swallow and Mike Burgess, Brandi Campos, and Lindsay Clemons and husband, James; son, Greg Swallow and wife, Donna; granddaughters, Kyla, Molly, Hannah, Courtney, Candace, Shyann, and Kinsley Kaye; grandsons, Jon, Erik, Justin, A.J., Logan, and Jacob; great granddaughters, Savanna, Celeste, Vivien, Kristen, and Kandence; great grandsons, Kristopher, Jeremy, Jacob, Easton, Maddox, Gabe, and Mekiel; and many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
