Dean Jones

A memorial service celebrating the life of Dean Jones, 78, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the old sanctuary of The Heights Church, 1315 Grandview Hwy, Cleburne, TX 76031. Pastor Kody Hughes will officiate.
Dean passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with dementia.
He was born in Slaton, Texas on April 25, 1943, to Carl and Lorene (Massey) Jones. Dean attended Lubbock High School and had a life-long love of the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
He retired from the automotive industry in 2009.
Dean’s first love was Jesus, whom he found in 1974. His second love was Gloria. Dean married Gloria Allen on August 12, 1967 in Lubbock.
He loved his family and was loved by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dean loved his church family and he loved his country, often tearing up when he heard the national anthem.
Dean was an awesome husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He enjoyed reading his Bible, golf, and watching his Red Raiders.
Dean is preceded in death by his parents; son, Heath Jones; and grandson, Bradley Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jones of Cleburne; son, Tony Jones and wife, Terry, of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, Tony Jones, Jr., Britany Jones and husband, Donald Jacobs and Blake Jones and wife, Jennifer, all of Cleburne; great grandchildren, Aiden Jones, Skyler Jones, Grayson Jacobs, and McKinley Jacobs, all of Cleburne; and many other family members and friends.
