Obituary for Joseph Eddy Kirby

Joseph Eddy Kirby, Jr.
Joseph Eddy Kirby, Jr., 74, of Keene, Texas passed away to his eternal home on May 1, 2014 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born June 29, 1939 in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan to Myrtle Christian and Joseph Eddy Kirby, Sr.
Joe graduated from Michigan Tech, Houghton, Michigan, with a degree in Civil Engineering. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Betty Schmitt on Nov. 25, 1977 in Hanover Park, Illinois. He was a member of the Keene Baptist Church and a retired business manager of Masonic non-profit organizations. Joe was a member of the Fort Worth Masonic Lodge #148, York Rite Commandery #19, Red Cross of Constantine, and Tejas Council #282. His passions were his church and Legends Senior Bowling League. He is finally bowling his 300 game.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Kirby; and sister, Coreen Drozd.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Kirby of Keene; daughter, Cheri Thompson of Boynton Beach, Florida; son, Joseph Eddy Kirby, III and wife Amanda Larkin of Bend, Oregon; sister, Alice Isaacson of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan; and grandson, Riley Larkin Kirby of Bend, Oregon.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
