Funeral services for Opal E. Kouns, 95, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cleburne Memorial Park. Bro. Jimmy Finley will officiate. The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb 27, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be James young, Paul Young, Bill Henderson, Charlie Alexander, Craig Miller, and Mark Bolte. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Kulow, Rob Epperson, and Chris Fomby.
Opal Kouns passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born July 19, 1916 in Cleburne, Texas to Andrew T. Keeton and Minnie Lee Sims. She was a retired nurse’s aide and a member of St. Paul Methodist Church.
Mrs. Kouns was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon Yater Kouns; daughter, Darla Miller; two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her son, Gordon Young and wife, Janice; daughter, Betty Briscoe and husband, Timothy; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
