Graveside service for Billie Sue Lambert, 84, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Rio Vista Cemetery with Kevin Thornton officiating. Visitation for her family and friends will be held from 5-7:00 P.M., Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Billie Sue Lambert was born on April 8, 1936 in the rural Taylor Mississippi area to farmers, Tola and Mamie Bryant. Billie Sue was one of 8 Bryant Children affectionately called “The Great Eight”. Billie Sue took her last breath on Nov.13th at the age of 84.
Billie was preceded in death by her spouse and love of her life: Ed Etchison; parents: Tola & Mamie, 4 brothers: George, Carlos, Kenneth & Tola. 3 Sisters: Frances, Barbara and Martha Jean whom Billie lovely called MOT. Her daughter: Pamela Sue and grandson: Sr.Airman USAF Richard Thornton.
She is survived by daughters: Harolyn Dana, Mamie Thornton, Betty Long and Step son: Wayne Etchison. Grandchildren: Kevin Thornton, Robert Thornton, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces and a host of friends from Heritage Trails Nursing Center.
Billie Sue enjoyed living at Heritage Trails Nursing home where she was crowned the “Mississippi Queen”. Her reign lasted 5 years during which time she enjoyed the spoils befitting her title.
