Services for Doris Laverene Lancaster, 65, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ross Cemetery in Rio Vista. Jim Lancaster will officiate. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Laverene passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born Oct. 30, 1947 to Lester Andrew Riddle and Josephine Cogdill Riddle in Cleburne. Laverene married James Lancaster on Aug. 31, 1962 in Cleburne. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Chapel Southwest Metro in Burleson.
Laverene was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her husband, James Lancaster of Cleburne; sons, Jim Lancaster and wife Susie of Manor, Jason Lancaster and wife Lori of Cleburne; brother, Terry Riddle and wife Rose of Cleburne; sister, Dorothy Eaton of Mansfield; grandchildren, London, Jonathan, James, Katie, Josie, Jed, and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.
