Burleson - Services for Drue Lancaster, 79, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church, 3437 CR 807, Cleburne, Texas. Burial will follow in Skyvue Cemetery. Pastor Russ Weaver will officiate. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Drue went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by family and friends. She was born July 23. 1933 in Wellington, Texas to Floyd Lester and Mamie Patterson Lester. Drue was a retired beautician and a member of Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church. She also was an amazing seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kenneth McMurrough; sister, Wanda; brothers, Freeman and Pate; and great-granddaughter, Presley.
She is survived by her daughter, Keri Kirby and husband Jim of Burleson; sister-in-law, Joyce Lester of Coleman, Oklahoma; brothers, Dale Lester and wife Pat of Jay, Oklahoma, Whaylan Lester and wife Helen of Alamosa, Colorado; Chester Lester of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Brandon, Ryann, Kacey, and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Carsyn, Avery and Swayze; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
