Funeral services for Fred Henry Langston, 79, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Eddy Carrell will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 9 – 10 a.m. before the service begins.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Martin, N. H. Laseman, Eldon Collins, Jerry Dean, Al Stone, and Paul Haley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roby Nunn, Logan Nunn, Chad Langston, Jeffery Langston, Christian Langston, Colton Langston, Levi Langston, and Quinton Morrow.
Mr. Langston passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at his home. He was born in Graham, Texas on June 17, 1932, the son of Ivy (Tucker) and Louis Henry Langston.
Fred served his country in the Texas National Guard and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He married Betty Vankirk on April 25, 1953 in Cleburne. Fred was the Animal Control Warden for the City of Cleburne for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy Langston; granddaughter, Cheyenne Langston; sisters, Peggy Coburn and Lorainne Alexander; and brother, Bobby Langston.
Fred Langston is survived by his wife, Betty Langston of Cleburne; sons, Sonny Langston and Colleen and Freddy Langston and Cigi, all of Blum; daughters, Sherry Williams of Saginaw and Rose Nunn and Richard, of Cleburne; daughter-in-law, Jody Langston of Blum; brothers, Barry Langston; sisters, Billie Ann Shaw and C.R. and Lou Baker and Ronnie, all of Cleburne; grandchildren, Krystana, Roby, Lindsay, Logan, Chad, Jeffery, Christian, Heather, Colton, Quinton, Jaci, Adrien, Levi and Laci; and 17 great-grandchildren.
