Larry Hackney

Graveside services for Larry Wayne Hackney, 78, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Rosehill Cemetery.  

A visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Larry passed away Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born October 16, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas to Francis (Horan) and Lowell “Bub” Hackney. 

Larry grew up in Fort Worth ,Texas. After graduating from Fort Worth Tech, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1965. He served six years in the Navy during the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier, Enterprise.

Larry became a skilled electronics technician and began working for Texas LTV and Texas Instruments.  He met and married his wife of 55 years, Vicki (Goldsmith) Hackney and for several years Larry was self employed. They later moved to Cleburne and he became an employee of Core Lab of Godley, Texas, where he was employed at until his death. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Vicki; and other family members and friends.
