Graveside services for Horace H. Lee, Jr, 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 21012 at Cleburne Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Payne officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Horace H. Lee passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born in Cleburne on November 19, 1923, the son of Mabel (Burt) and Horace H. Lee.
Horace married Geraldine Bruni on August 10, 1946 in Windsor Locks, Conn. They were married for 62 years until her death in 2008.
He served his country for 30 years in the United States Marine Corp. seeing action in World War II, the Korean War and Viet Nam. Horace was a founding member of the Cleburne branch of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
He retired from the postal service having been a letter carrier for 16 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Geraldine.
Mr. Lee is survived by his son, Bruce A. Lee of Cleburne; daughter, Susan Hensley and husband, Robert, of Arlington, Texas; granddaughter, Sara E. Hensley of Chicago, IL; grandson, Robert L. Hensley of Arlington; brothers, James Lee and wife, Mildred and Kenneth Lee and wife, Glenda, all of Cleburne; sisters, Betty Huston or Rio Vista, Texas, Sharon White of Cleburne, Barbara Pitts of Conroe, Texas and Judy Moss of Fort Worth, Texas.
