Obituary for
Bob Lilley
Funeral services for Bob Lilley, 90, Weatherford, Texas will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Cleburne, Texas. Dr. Danny Crosby will officiate.
Burial will precede the service at 10 a.m. at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.
Bob Lilley, a longtime Cleburne resident, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 in Weatherford. He was born in Shepherd, Texas in July of 1925 to Blanche and Leo Lilley.
Bob served his country in the United States Army during WWII for which he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Service Stars.
He married Frances Kent on June 25, 1960 at First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas with Dr. W. A. Criswell officiating.
Bob was a teacher at Cleburne High School for many years and was also a rancher.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleburne where he served as deacon for 37 years and of Northside Baptist Church in Weatherford.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances, of Weatherford; sons, Brian Lilley and wife, Linda, of Comanche, Texas and Gregory Lilley and wife, Kristen, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Kim Garner and husband, Garrett, Rachel Lilley and Kate Lilley; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Mission Fund of First Baptist Church of Cleburne, 414 N. Main St, Cleburne, TX 76033.
