Charles “Chock” Lockett
Funeral services for Charles “Chock” Lockett, 80, of Cleburne, Texas will be held today, Tuesday July 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Randy McLelland officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Chock passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his home surround by his family. He was born in Johnson County on May 15, 1934 to Alice (Beavers) and Luther Culpepper Lockett.
Chock served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired sheet metal worker for Santa Fe Railroad. He married Helen Wheatley on September 1, 1956 in Cleburne, Texas and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; brothers, J.W., Ray, and Richard Lockett; and sisters, Louella Powell, Nell Powell, and Marie Eubanks.
Chock is survived by his son, Alan Lockett and wife, Kellie; daughter, Renne Griggs; long time friend, Wanda Busby; grandchildren, Glenn, Amy, Leah, and Rodney Griggs; step grandchildren, Ashley Stewart and Shane Moore; and great grandchildren, Jonah, Garrett, and Ben Griggs.
