Obituary for Herman Eugene Lyon
Graveside services for Herman Eugene Lyon, 87, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Cox officiating.
A visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremiah Shields, Trey Dunn, Spencer Lyon and Dylan Love.
Mr. Lyon passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at his home. He was born in Rising Star, Texas on Oct. 13, 1927, the son of Maude Melvinie (Hardin) and Willie Pegee Lyon.
Herman proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married Janece Allbright on Jan. 5, 1961.
Herman retired from LTV and was a member of Crossroads Church of Cleburne..
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Herman Lyon is survived by his wife, Janece Lyon of Cleburne; son, Troy Lyon and wife, Jennifer, of Cleburne; daughter, Carmen Dunn of Grandview, Texas; sister, Frances Kent and husband, Thomas, of Mason, Texas; grandchildren, Mishael McCoy, Jeremiah Shields, Carrie Lyon, Spencer Lyon and Trey Dunn; and several great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Crossroads Church of Cleburne, 10 N Caddo, PMB 152, Cleburne, TX 76031.
