Margaret Ann Hamby

Funeral services for Margaret Ann Hamby, 92, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 18, 2024 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with her nephew, Dodd Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 10-11:00 A.M., Friday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Margaret Ann Hamby passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in Fort Worth. She was born May 3, 1932 in Fort Worth to William Stanley and Matilda Abby (Daniel) Dodd. She married her sweetheart, Donald O. "Jack" Hamby on April 21, 1956 at the Sand Flat Pastor's home.

Margaret was a wonderful wife and loving mother. She was an awesome cook and friends and family enjoyed her welcoming home. Margaret loved to travel and spend time with The Senior Friends group and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Bill Dodd, Paul Dodd, Dan Dodd, Freida Bell West, Betty Sue Dodd, Helen Peugh, and Louise May.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 68 years, Donald O. "Jack" Hamby of Cleburne; sons, William Michael Richards and wife Betty of Georgetown and Terry Wayne Richards and wife Paula of Sulphur Springs; two grandchildren, Clay Daniel Richards of Fort Worth and Jennifer Raffety and husband Brian, of Pearland; two great grandchildren, Hannah Raffety and Jacob Raffety of Pearland; brother, John Dodd and wife Nelda of Midlothian; sister, Nancy Dixon of Weatherford; sister-in-law, Donnie Dodd of Arlington; many extended family and friends.
