Marion Robbins McClanahan

Funeral services for Marion Virginia McClanahan, 91, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David denHartog officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Rosser Funeral Home.

Marion McClanahan passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at her home. She was born in Dallas, Texas on April 12, 1933, the daughter of Emma Lula (Poer) and William Riley Robbins.

Marion married Maurice McClanahan on May 12, 1962, in Grand Prairie, Texas. She served as President of the Johnson County Republican Women and served on the Cleburne Parks and Recreation Board. Marion was a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution. She enjoyed volunteering in the community and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Robbins, James Robbins, and Kenneth Robbins; and sisters, Pernie Brown, Frances Mobley, and Roxie Gillan.

Marion is survived by her husband of 62 years, Maurice McClanahan, of Cleburne; son, Patrick McClanahan and wife, Tanya, of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Carolyne Day and husband, Lester, of Benbrook, Texas; grandchildren, William Charles Bosworth, III and wife, Lauren, Thomas Riley Bosworth, Helena McClanahan, Nicholas McClanahan; brother, Rual Robbins and sister, Stephanie Sill, both of Ada, Oklahoma; and other family members and friends.
