Joycelyn Marrs

Funeral services for Joycelyn Cecille (Grimes) Marrs, 74, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffreson Marrs, Jay Holland, Jonathan Marrs, Bradley Holland, Hoyt Felts and Mike Felts.
Joycelyn passed from this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in Cleburne.
She was born January 20, 1942 to Cecil and Monieree Grimes in San Luis Obispo, California and lived most of her life in the Ft Worth area.
Joycelyn was a devoted wife, mother, teacher and baseball fan. She delighted in family time,
teaching English, and playing handbells at Field Street Baptist Church.
Joycelyn is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Jim; children, Jeff (Nancy) Marrs, Julie (Rusty) Holland and Joel (Elaine) Marrs; grandchildren, Christina Marrs, Jeff (Kristi) Marrs, Jay and Bradley Holland, and Jonathan Marrs; siblings, Judy Houston, Janis Franks and Stevan Grimes; and many other relatives and a host of friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Santa Fe Trails Assisted Living Center and Mission Hospice, both of Cleburne.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation
for Parkinson’s Research.
