Marva Jo Looper

Marva Jo Looper, 89, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 in Weatherford, TX. She was born in Emmett, TX on June 17, 1935 to Leo Marvin and Annie Lee Bowen Reed. Jo married the love of her life, James Alton (Jim) Looper on June 17, 1967 in Waco, TX. Soon after, they moved to Cleburne, TX to raise their family.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 30, 2024 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Alan and Bryce Donaldson will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah and Joshua Stone, AJ, Bryce and Brent Donaldson and Josh Langley. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, TX.

Jo worked in the food industry for most of her adult life. She and Jim owned a Fina station in Cleburne for several years. Jo enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She enjoyed just being in the car driving anywhere. Jo and Jim enjoyed spending time at the Elks Lodge together with friends, where they were members for years.

Survivors include sons, Mike Donaldson of Alvarado; Alan Donaldson and wife Holly of Weatherford, TX; Hank Stone and wife Susan of Glenwood Springs, CO; daughter, Rayna Zachary of Cleburne; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Joshua Stone, AJ, Bradley, Bryce, and Brent Donaldson, Sarah Langley, Sydney Riordan and Hannah Peaden; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jim, her parents, and daughter, Susan Donaldson Stone.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
