Funeral services for Mary Gail Chambers, 67, of Kopperl, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Brazos Point Cemetery in Bosque County.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas.
Mary Gail Chambers, passed away on July 2, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on April 15, 1957, in Hazard, KY. Mary was a daughter to the late Charles and Florence Day, she grew up in a big loving family.
At the age of 8 the family moved to Texas. There Mary met many friends and enjoyed hanging out with the neighborhood kids and riding trail bikes with her friends and siblings. Little did she know one of those neighborhood friends would be her future husband, Victor. They married in 1974 in North Richland Hills, they went on to have six children together.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and most of all the best Nana. She cherished her time spent with family, whether it was in the kitchen cooking and baking or just being together. She was a wonderful mother who was there when we needed her the most. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength. Her kindness and openness to welcoming any and all was truly admirable. Her love was unconditional.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents- Charles and Florence Day, her two brothers- Ronnie and Donnie, and her husband Victor.
She is survived and missed by her children Christy and Jason Green, Jason and Autumn Chambers, Michelle and JD Griffith, Stephen Chambers, Ashley Chambers, Florence and Chris Schjetnan; 17 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; SiblingsGary Day, Pat and Ed Wagner, Wanda and Tom Hatcher, Sherry and Dennis Butts, James Day, Jeff and Rhonda Day; Sister-in-laws; Edra and Connie. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins will also feel the void left by her passing.
