Richard Maupin

Granbury, TX—Graveside services for Richard E. Maupin, 85, of Granbury, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Price’s Chapel Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas with John Knox officiating.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Mr. Maupin passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at his home. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Mary (Hayes) and John R. Maupin. He married Velda Rosser on October12, 1994 in Athens, Texas. Richard served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad where he had worked as a mechanical engineer.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Duvall; and brother, John Robert Maupin.
He is survived by his wife, Velda Rosser Maupin of Granbury; son, Stephen Richard Maupin; and daughters, Kathryn Maupin Ward, Lucinda Maupin and Karen Kelley.
