Vera McConathy

Graveside services for Vera Ruth McConathy, 96, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Rosehill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Ruth passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 with family by her side. She was born Aug. 30, 1917 to Willie (Barton) and Edie Allison in the Bethel Community in Hill County, Texas.
Ruth retired from owning Macs Drive-In Grocery on North Main Street for many years. She was an avid gardener and lover of the outdoors. Ruth was lovingly referred to as Granny Mac.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, A.J. McConathy; son, Gene McConathy; and three brothers.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Paprskar and husband Jim, Donna Danforth and husband George; sister, Ima Penny; grandchildren, Kim Coe and husband Melvin, Brenda McConathy, Jay McConathy and wife Janet, Mindy Paprskar, Erin Lambert and husband Nathan, Tricia Albrecht and husband Don; many great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Mary McConathy.
