Funeral services for Mary Alice Barr McCorkle, “Grandmama”, 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019 at Rosser Funeral Home chapel. Dr. Danny Crosby will officiate. A private family burial will follow in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Marshall, Perry Rosser, Chris Everett, Spencer Perry, Matt Olingy and Chance Rosser.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Grandmama went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born January 13, 1931 in Cleburne to Nell (James) and V. Barr. Grandmama married Francis Williamson McCorkle on November 12, 1949 in Oklahoma. She loved being a wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmama. But what filled her heart with pride were the many people, from family to friends that simply addressed her as Grandmama. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church Cleburne and her love for Jesus was evident throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis McCorkle; daughter, Drudi Marshall, and infant daughter, Martha McCorkle.
She is survived by her daughter, Mindi Rosser and husband, Perry, of Cleburne; granddaughters, Ashley Marshall Everett and husband, Chris, Whitney Marshall Perry and husband, Spencer, all of Aledo, Autumn Rosser Olingy and husband, Matt, of Fort Worth; grandson, Chance Rosser and wife, Ashley Nicole, of Cleburne; great-grandchildren, EllaDrue, MaryAlice, EvieJames, and MaeMae Everett, Shepherd, Marshall, Vee, and Wales Perry, all of Aledo, and Grayson Sanders of Cleburne; son-in-law, George Marshall and wife, Nancy, of Aledo; and numerous other family and friends that called her Grandmama. She will be missed.
