Funeral services for Ruthell McVicker, 83, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Trent Hamm, Zeb Miller, Mark Brown, John Railsback, Jared Railsback, and Brent Railsback. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Henslee, Larry Thompson, Doug Scarberry and Steve Scarberry.
Mrs. McVicker passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Cordell, Okla. on May 11, 1930, the daughter of Zadie (Henderson) and W. P. Scarberry.
Ruthell and Charles McVicker were married on June 1, 1948 in Hillsboro, Texas. She was a long time member of Henderson Street Baptist Church; the Order of the Eastern Star, Ruth Chapter #20; and was Camp Fire Leader and remained associated with Camp Fire over the years.
Ruthell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles McVicker; son, Kent McVicker; brothers, Henry, Clarence, and Odell; and sisters, Myrtle and Belle.
She is survived by her daughter Latrese Hamm and husband, David, of Cleburne; grandchildren, Trent Hamm and wife, Allyson and Monica Miller and husband, Zeb; great grandchildren, Zadie, Amelia, Lydia, Harrison and Jade; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
