Mike Duckworth

Funeral services for Michael Leon "Mike" Duckworth, 76, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Hall officiating, assisted by Neil Laws. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park with Roger Trussell, Ernest Daughtry, Bryan Kruse, Eddie Norton, Stephen Bicknell, and Jeffery Johnson serving as pallbearers.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mike passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 7, 1946, the son of Margie Nell (Robertson) and Barney Leon Duckworth.
Mike married Betty Owens on October 21, 1966 in Cleburne.
He served his country for six years in the Army National Guard.  Mike was a devoted Cleburne firefighter for 47 years and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.  He loved hunting and spending time with family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Mackenzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Betty Duckworth; son, Barry Duckworth; daughter, Michelle James and husband, Nathan; one granddaughter, Mackenzie James; brothers, Jerry and Gary Duckworth; and many other family members and friends.
