Vernon Judson Miller
Funeral services for Vernon Judson Miller, 47, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 12 Noon, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church in Cleburne, Texas with Dr. Mike Simons officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Rest Cemetery near Alvarado.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Claude Humphries, Loren Bennett, Brad Johnson, Angel Pena, Jett Coleman, Titan Shipman, Kelly Joe Moore, and Aaron Seery.
Vernon passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on December 14, 1969 to Barbara Ann (Brinkley) and Billy Vernon Miller and was brought to his family home in Alvarado.
Vernon married Heather Daugherty on September 11, 1999 in Alvarado. He and Heather had the privilege of raising their family in Vernon’s family home.
Vernon served his Alvarado community as a triple certified emergency worker. He was a paramedic, firefighter and police officer for many years before he moved into the oil and gas industry where he found success as an executive level leader.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Barbara Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Heather; sons, Eric Judson Miller and Jacob Garrett Almand; daughter, Madeleine Rose Miller; and sister, Elizabeth Elaine Preston.
