Obituary for Myra Monge (Nickleson)
Memorial services for Myra Monge, 89, of Dallas, TX, formerly of Cleburne, TX, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Edgemere Retirement Center, 8523 Thackery Street, Dallas, TX 75225. Father Chris Woodall will officiate.
Refreshments will be served following the service.
Myra passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 in Dallas.
She was born in West Columbia, TX on Oct. 28, 1926, the daughter of Emma (Pepper) and James Nickelson.
Myra and Ray were married 70 years this past December. She was a homemaker, officer’s wife, and civic minded volunteer. Mrs. Monge was of the Episcopal faith.
Mrs. Monge was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jean Bradley.
She is survived by her husband, (Ret.) Col. Ray Monge of Dallas, TX; sons, Mark Monge and wife, Darelynn of Omaha, NE., Gary Monge and wife, Betty, of Orlando, FL. and David Monge and partner, Ken Jenkins of Dallas, TX; daughters, Michele Hassani and husband, Alex, of Baltimore, MD and Sandi McVay and husband, Jim, of Omaha, NE; brother-in-law, Terry Bradley of Ovalo, TX; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Operation Blessing, PO Box 1048, Cleburne, TX 76033.
