Obituary for Joan Lois Montgomery (Miller)
Funeral services for Joan Montgomery, 77, of Venus, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, in the Greenacres Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cleburne, Texas. Pastor Don De Foor will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. before the service at Greenacres.
Mrs. Montgomery passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at her home. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 8, 1936, the daughter of Lois (Armstrong) and John Miller. Joan served her country in the United States Army. She married Raymond Montgomery on Aug. 5, 1990 in Cleburne.
Joan was a homemaker and was a member of Alvarado Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Alvarado VFW.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond, in 1991; and sister, Jean Jackson.
She is survived by her five children, Jo Roark and husband, Randy, of Eldon, MO, Joyce Filson of Venus, Jackie Fields and husband, Dale and Troy Gilpin, all of Versailles, MO, and Tye Gilpin and wife, Christi, of Granbury, TX; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
