Obituary for Robert M "Bob" Moore

Robert M. Moore, 70, passed away peacefully at home in Cleburne in the presence of family.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jeff Foster will officiate.
Robert Moore (Bob) was born November 1, 1946 to Charles and Lorene Moore in Goose Creek, (Beaumont) Texas. He was a Viet Nam Veteran who served in the Navy from 1967 to 1971. He then began a career as a Texas Game Warden. Later, he moved to Fort Worth to join his brother as a manager of the Back Porch Restaurant until they began manufacturing Lemon Chill for Six Flags Over Texas. Throughout Bob’s life, he and his brother continued producing drink mixtures and enjoying their business adventures.
Bob enjoyed being outdoors. His gardening skills were exceptional, and he loved to share his bounty with others. His favorite past time above all was fishing. He loved fishing with family and friends no matter the catch. Bob also loved to travel, especially when he could share new experiences and laughter with friends.
Bob had an infectious personality and kind spirit. His great sense of humor made people smile a lot. He had a true caring for others which earned him the love and respect of his family and many friends from all walks of life.
Bob served as an Elder of the First Christian Church in Cleburne. He loved to be a teacher of the word and evangelism was his calling. Near to his heart was teaching at the Christian Lodge in Cleburne. The people there were dear to him. He cared deeply for them and their circumstances.
He loved everyone and blessed many people throughout his life.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 24 years, Darlene; brother, Charles E. Moore III; Daughters, Shelley Johnson, Michelle Hunt and husband, Bobby Thomas, Joanna Hoggard and husband, Wade; grandchildren, Meagan Hall and husband, Logan, Colton Caselman and wife, Chelsea, Shelby Hunt, Rachel Caselman, Marshall Hunt, and Walker Hunt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for the fight against cancer.
