Obituary for Valentine "Val" Moralez (Bernal)

Funeral services for Valentine “Val” (Bernal) Moralez, 76, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. noon, Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Larry Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
Val Moralez went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at home, surrounded by her family following a short illness. She was born in Donie, Texas on February 14, 1941, the daughter of Enriqueta (Sanchez) and Bernando Bernal.
Val and Leonicio “Leo” Moralez were married in 1958 in Hill County, Texas.
Val was a loving mother and friend. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Val was preceded in death by her parents, Enriqueta (Sanchez) and Bernando Bernal; husband, Leonicio “Leo” Moralez; brother, Nick Bernal; son, Daniel Moralez; and son-in-law, William “Bill” Simonsen.
She is survived by her son, Hector Moralez; daughters, Sylvia Simonsen and Brenda McGhee and husband, Varum; granddaughters, Leslie Moralez, Tesza Latson, Vanesza Latson and Corisza Lee; grandsons, Shamari McGhee and Shamoun McGhee; great-grandchildren, Deja Moralez, Jareka Fuller and Daniel Fuller; brother, Ben Bernal, Jr.; sisters, Irene Ramos, Sally Jimenez, Delores Bernal and Linda Garcia; and many other family members and friends.
